Life jacket wholesale distributors: specify the buyer channel
Describe the intended use before requesting an assortment. The scenarios below are procurement planning examples, not verified applications or statements of product suitability.

Different channels create different RFQ questions
| Buyer scenario | Specification question | Evidence to request | Delivery question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wholesale assortment | Which model, sizes and colors belong in each purchase line? | Model references, size labels and unit identification | Are cartons mixed or separated by variant? |
| Watersports operator | What activity and user population are intended? | Exact-model instructions, limitations and approval evidence if claimed | How are maintenance information and labels supplied? |
| Retail program | What individual packaging, artwork and display information are needed? | Packaging proof and confirmation that required labels remain visible | Are pack counts and destination handling included? |
| Institutional purchasing | Who sets fit requirements and approves the proposed item? | Buyer acceptance notes and model-specific document response | Does a staged delivery request alter the quote scope? |
For a distributor comparing neutral packaging with custom packaging, keep the life jacket specification fixed and request two packaging lines. This lets the buyer see artwork, carton and handling differences without assuming one option has a lower delivered cost.
An operator may want a broad size assortment, while a retail buyer may prioritize individual variant packaging. Neither preference confirms a product's suitability for a water activity. Ask the supplier for the model's stated use and fit information and have the appropriate buyer reviewer assess it.
Two comparisons to resolve before selection
Is a general standard enough?
A family-level standard can help frame questions. Purchasing needs the exact proposed model, its label and the documents the supplier says cover it. Compare model identifiers and configuration scope; appearance and retail wording are insufficient evidence of approval.
Where approval is represented, request the approval label and model-specific support. Our sourcing role does not establish buoyancy ratings, suitable user weights or rescue performance.
Does a cheaper piece price mean a cheaper order?
Request matching quantity, size run, pack ratio, branding and freight scope. One quotation may omit packaging or destination charges. Compare stated lines in the same currency, with exclusions visible, before judging total procurement cost.
Premium and budget supplier preferences can change customization and service requests. They must never replace required evidence or buyer review of an offered model.

Share the intended activity, required variants, quantity unit and destination. The catalog contains inquiry routes; none represents approved inventory. Add the documents your team needs before reviewing a supplier response.
